Week 55 - Lodz

Hello everyone!
Things are going well here in Łódź.  The weeks seem to go faster and faster.  This last week was really good though.  On Tuesday, we had a solid lesson about the Plan of Salvation with W., our recent convert here.  It was good. We have a lesson with him tomorrow, and we're thinking maybe talking about the Restoration or something, so it should be really good.  On Friday, we also had a great lesson with T., the less active we're working with.  We did some family history together, and we watched Elder Holland's talk from last conference titled, Be Ye Therefore Perfect - Eventually (a really good talk, I highly recommend it).  So that was really good.  He was in church on Sunday, and that was great to see.  We also had a discussion with O., one of our investigators.  That was pretty good.  He's making progress in his own time, and doesn't want to be rushed into anything.  He was in church as usual yesterday, and we might have some kind of meeting with him later this week, we'll see how it goes.  Our other investigator, I., was busy this week and unable to meet, so we're hoping we can have some kind of contact this week.  But yea, it was a good week, and we're looking forward to another solid one this week.  We have zone conference in Warsaw on Friday, and that should be really good.  Our zone didn't change much with tranfers, so it will be good to see some of the other missionaries again.  So we're looking forward to that on Friday.  But yea.  Yesterday was a really good day in church.  Sacrament meeting was especially good.  Last week, all of the members in Poland had a temple trip to the Freiberg Temple, so they had a couple of members who went share their experiences and testimonies with that.  I'm just so impressed with the members over here.  They only have about 4 chances a year to go to the temple, and to do so, they have to travel all the way to Freiberg.  What committment!  I testify that the temple is the House of the Lord, and as we participate in the ordinances of the temple, we feel God's love for us more openly in our lives and we are guided by the Spirit.  Because there aren't any temples in or near our mission boundaries in Poland, as missionaries here we don't have the opportunity to go to the temple.  In my time here, I've really gained a greater sense of the importance of temple attendance and a greater appreciation for what they can mean in our lives.  I look forward to the day when I can again go to the temple.  Well, that's about it for this week, but I hope you all have a great week.  Love you all!
