Week 1 - Provo MTC

Hello Everyone,

3 days into my mission, and I've already learned a lot.  Still have much to learn, but it's a good start.  Learning Polish is really challenging, but it's really cool to use.  My companion's name is Elder Wojcik, and he's pretty cool.  He's from Washington.  So we're probably going to be here 9 weeks, so we'll leave right after Christmas.  Seems like a long time to be here haha.  Yesterday, we taught our first lesson in Polish.  We taught a guy named Marcin.  It went better than we expected. As my dad told me before I left, this is all like drinking out of a fire hose.  Just trying to remember as much as I can.  My spiritual thought this week comes from a missionary in our same building.  I don't remember his name, but the first night we were here, he came to our room and encouraged us.  He talked about the 1/3 host of heaven that rejected God's plan and are now here on the earth without bodies, tempting us.  He said that "the last place they want you is here, and they're going to attack you".  That got me thinking about life in general.  When we are doing good things, we face more resistance and challenges from Satan and his followers, but as we rely on the Lord, we will receive strength to rise above these hard times and be blessed.  I know this gospel is true.  I love you all, and can't wait to hear from you!  Have an awesome week!

Provo MTC - It's finally here!

Setting Apart - October 25, 2016
Hey...

It's going good.  A lot of stuff happening today.  My district is pretty cool.  We learned some Polish today, and it's pretty crazy.  This all feels like a dream and I'll wake up in the morning in my own bed.  But it's going good so far haha.
It feels pretty surreal.
My companion's name is Starszy Wojcik.  He's from Washington and he's pretty cool.  His dad is from Poland so that's cool.  A lot of stuff going on so I can't wait to go to bed.  I'm exhausted.  A ton of orientation and stuff.
Dinner was good.  Everyone is talking about how we're here for 9 weeks, so I might be here til right before the new year.  Well hope you guys are doing well.
Love you.
